About
Hello everyone, AlSeg here.
You might be asking why this project exists in the first place, or maybe you're just curious about it.
So as many of you, I watched AcceleRacers, and although it's a pretty old movie series (17 years at the moment I'm writing this) aaand the fact that I didn't actually watch them when I was a kid (or maybe I did, just don't remember) it was that cliffhanger we all know that made me do this comic.
Alright but, why TomWheeler's scripts? Fact of the matter is, I don't think I'm a good writer and I was just beginning to dig into the comic world, found Tom's scripts and thought they were amazing since they didn't feel too... "fanfictiony", I think they feel like a real fifth movie. Since these movies are an audiovisual piece of media and I don't believe there are plans to make this happen as an animated movie (which would be cool ngl) I meditated the situation and the size of the project, and decided to give it a shot, since I'm writing my own comic, I thought this could be a great opportunity to test me and see how well I can take a comic project.
I cannot say for sure that the other 4 episodes will be made. making a comic for this first script alone has been one hell of a ride where I've put lots of hours to make decent looking pages, learning about comic stuff, searching for references, and other types of stuff. I just can (and want) to compromise myself to finish the first episode and we shall see if I have the energy to keep doing this, and of course, how well the community receives it.
This blogspot it's been made to keep a storage and updates about the project, maybe post some concept art that was made along the way or show some of my creative process (I don't promise that tho).
The comic will be translated to spanish (by me) and to portuguese thanks to users Acceler23, Kurt Wylde, JucaTorze and Xtreme_Monzter.
If you have want to support more of my work, I have created a original comic called NEARER that you can read here: https://globalcomix.com/c/nearer/
Your share and comments are appreciated!
Without further ado, thanks for all the people who keep interested in this project and of course for all your patience.
